Career Shadowing Career shadowing allows individuals the opportunity to learn more about a specific healthcare career through observation and discussions with a professional working in the field. Experiences may be limited due to the nature of the activities in some areas. Career shadowing is generally for short periods of time; one day or less. Individuals interested in shadowing must agree to abide by hospital standards of conduct and complete education requirements. High school students can make arrangements for career shadowing through their counselors office. Other individuals can contact the Human Resource Department at 507-637-4505.
