January | February | March | April | May | June | July August | September | October | November | December Childbirth Preparation Classes - Starts January 3, 2007 Childbirth preparation is a 5-session course to help you prepare for your new baby. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm starting January 3, 2007 through January 31, 2007. Adult Grief Support Group - Starts February 6, 2007 The Adult Grief Support Group will meet on Tuesday evenings from 5-7pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Adult Day Services Room starting February 6, 2007 through March 13, 2007. The Adult Grief Support Group can offer support, friendship, information and an opportunity to talk or listen with other people who are grieving. Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group - Feb. 13, 2007 There will be an Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group meeting on February 13, 2007 from 2:00-3:30pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room. "Keep Moving Program" will be presented by Maydra Maas, CNS from the Redwood Area Hospital. Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group - March 13, 2007 There will be an Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group meeting on March 13, 2007 from 2:00-3:30pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room. "Therapy Update" will be presented by Heidi Irlbeck, PT, from the Redwood Area Hospital. Advanced Cardiac Life Support The Redwood Area Hospital will be hosting Advanced Cardiac Life Support Training March 13-15, 2007 for nurses, physicians, and EMT's. ACLS training will teach you to learn the critical assessment-management actions for 10 core cases by conducting the Primary and Secondary ABCD Surveys and implementing the algorithms. Bridging the Gap - March 31, 2007 There will be a Spring Retreat on March 31, 2007 from 9am-1pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room. Bridging the Gap is a free program that gives kids who have experienced the death of someone special, the opportunity to connect with others "who have been there." Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group - April 10, 2007 There will be an Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group meeting on April 10, 2007 from 2:00-3:30pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room. "Self-Help Tools for Arthritis that Work for Us All" will be presented by Maydra Maas, CNS, from the Redwood Area Hospital. Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon In honor of National Volunteer Week, the Redwood Area Hospital will be holding a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Monday, April 16, 2007 from 11:3am-1:00pm at the Redwood Area Community Center. Foundation Fundraiser: Casino Night - April 30, 2007 The 3rd Annual "Casino Night" will be held on Monday, April 30, 2007 at Jackpot Junction Casino in Morton, MN. Proceeds will be used to purchase furnishings for the Redwood Area Hospital's new family waiting area. Register On-line. Hospice Spring Luncheon - May 5, 2007 The 1st Annual Hospice Spring Luncheon will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2007 from 11am-1pm at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Proceeds will go to the Redwood Area Hospital Hospice Program. Arthritis Public Forum - May 11, 2007 There will be a FREE Arthritis Public Forum on Friday, May 11, 2007 from 7-8:00pm at the Redwood Area Community Center in Redwood Falls, MN. Car Seat Clinic, Wabasso - May 17, 2007 There will be a free car seat clinic on May 17, 2007 at the Wabasso School Garage from 5:00-7:00pm. Installations will be done by appointment only. Pediatric First Aid, May 21, 2007 There will be a HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid course on Monday, May 21, 2007 from 6-9:30pm at the Redwood Area Hospital in the Education Room. This course is a credentialed course specially designed to train those responsible for children's health. Cost for this class is $54.00 per person which includes the cost of the book for the class. HeartSaver CPR, May 24, 2007 There will be a HeartSaver CPR course on Thursday, May 24, 2007 from 6-9:30pm at the Redwood Area Hospital in the Education Room. This course is a credentialed course specially designed to train those responsible for children's health. Cost for this class is $49.00for Adult & Pediatric CPR (6-9:30pm); $36.00 for Adult CPR only (7:30-9:30pm) and $31.00 for Pediatric CPR only (6-7:30pm). Payment must be received to guarantee your spot. Bike Rodeo The 7th Annual Bike Rodeo will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 from 5:30-8pm at the Redwood Area Community Center in Redwood Falls, MN. The event is free and open to parents and children of all ages. Cancer Survivor's Picnic The 14th Annual Cancer Survivor's Picnic will be held on June 11, 2007 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Redwood Area Community Center Room #2. BLS for Healthcare Providers Full Certification There will be a CPR class for Healthcare Providers on June 27, 2007 from 10:30-3:30pm at the Redwood Area Hospital. Cost of the class is $60.00 per person. There are only three spots available so registration will be taken on a first-come first-served basis with payment guaranteeing registration. HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid There will be a HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid class on July 23, 2007 from 6:30-10:00pm at the Walnut Grove School. Register online. CPR for Healthcare Providers (full cert & re-cert) There will be a CPR class for Healthcare Providers on August 1, 2007 from 10:30-1:30pm (recertification $47.00) and from 10:30-3:30pm (full certification $60.00) at the Redwood Area Hospital. HeartSaver CPR (Infant/Child) Dec. 1, 2007 9:00-10:30am This course is designed to teach CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO) to all lay rescuers, particularly to those who are expected to respond to emergencies in the work place. Participants are generally security guards, firefighters, police, daycare providers and other lay responders. Class is full.
