Acute Care The Redwood Area Hospital is a 25-bed Acute Care Hospital.  The recently remodeled Acute Care floor consists of 17 private rooms, 3 semi-private rooms, 2 labor/delivery and recovery rooms as well as 1 sleep study room. The Acute Care floor is staffed 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week with teams of registered nurses (RN's) as well as licensed practical nurses (LPN's). The Acute Care department also offers a Swing Bed Program.  Skilled swing bed is a program that is designed to help an individual to recover from surgery or illness close to their home.
