Phase 1 Obstetrics The OB department has been completely redesigned.  We now offer 2 LDRP suites and two other OB rooms to meet the birthing needs of our patients.  In the LDRP suites, mothers labor in their room, give birth in their room, and recover in the same room.  Baby does not have to leave the LDRP room unless mom and dad want some quiet time, or for necessary procedures or tests. The LDRP suites also offer a large whirlpool tub for mom to use before and after birth. In all rooms there is ample space for family, mom and baby as well as the direct care providers.  There is also a chair that converts into a cot for a family member that may be staying with mom.
