Click here for more information. Childbirth Preparation Class - Starts January 31, 2009 Childbirth preparation is a 1 day course designed to help you prepare for your new baby. Class will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 9am-4:30pm. Adult Grief Support Group - Starts February 3, 2009 The Adult Grief Support Group will meet on Tuesday evenings from 5-7pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Adult Day Services Room starting February 3, 2009 through March 10, 2009. The Adult Grief Support Group can offer support, friendship, information and an opportunity to talk or listen with other people who are grieving. Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group - February 10, 2009 There will be an Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group meeting on February 10, 2009 from 2:00-3:30pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room. Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group - February 19, 2009 There will be an Alzheimer's Caregivers Support Group meeting on Monday, February 19, 2009 from 2:00-3:30 in the Education Room. Topic: "TBA" presented TBA. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Full) The Redwood Area Hospital will be hosting Advanced Cardiac Life Support Training March 3-5, 2009 for nurses, physicians, and EMT's. ACLS training will teach you to learn the critical assessment-management actions for 10 core cases by conducting the Primary and Secondary ABCD Surveys and implementing the algorithms. Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group - March 10, 2009 There will be an Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group meeting on March 10, 2009 from 2:00-3:30pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room. Topic: "Complimentary & Alternative Therapies" presented by Maydra Maas, RN, CNS. Community Forum on Adolescent Depression - March 16, 2009 This forum will be held on March 16, 2009 from 6-7pm at the Redwood Area Community Center and is open to all parents, students, grandparents, community members, adults who work with adolescents, and anyone interested in learning more about adolescent depression. Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group - March 19, 2009 There will be an Alzheimer's Caregivers Support Group meeting on Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 2:00-3:30 in the Education Room. Topic: "Coping with Parkinson's Disease" presented by Mike Lecy, District Manager, Aegis Therapies. Family & Friends First Aid for Children, March 26, 2009 There will be a Family & Friends First Aid for Children course on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 6:30-7:30pm at Country View Senior Living in Walnut Grove. Cost for this class is $20.00 per person which includes the cost of the book for the class. Space is limited to 8 so register early! To register, call Shelly Pauling at 507-637-4527. Bridging the Gap - March 28, 2009 There will be a Spring Retreat on March 28, 2009 from 9am-1pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room. Bridging the Gap is a free program that gives kids who have experienced the death of someone special, the opportunity to connect with others "who have been there." Office Ergonomics Workshop - April 14, 2009 The Occupational Therapy Department will be sponsoring workshops that will focus on ergonomic principles that will apply towards corporate or home office computer work station settings. Healthcare Directives Day - April 16, 2009 Joleen Johnson, LSW, Social Services Manager from Redwood Area Hospital is welcoming the public to come to the east lobby of the hospital from 9am - 3pm, as she will be providing free information about advance care planning and advance directive forms. CPR for Healthcare Providers (Full Certification) 6-17-09 This course provides information on adult and pediatric CPR, including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask. ACMC/RAH 5K Run/Walk & Kids Run July 11, 2009 The race will be on the Redwood Valley High School Cross Country Course, located behind the Redwood Valley High School off Highway 19 in Redwood Falls.
