January | February | March | April | May | June | July August | September | October | November | December Childbirth Preparation Classes - Starts January 7, 2008 Childbirth preparation is a 4-session course to help you prepare for your new baby. Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm starting January 7, 2008 through January 28, 2008. Adult Grief Support Group - Starts February 5, 2008 The Adult Grief Support Group will meet on Tuesday evenings from 5-7pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Adult Day Services Room starting February 5, 2008 through March 11, 2008. The Adult Grief Support Group can offer support, friendship, information and an opportunity to talk or listen with other people who are grieving. Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group - February 12, 2008 There will be an Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group meeting on February 12, 2008 from 2:00-3:30pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room. Topic: "You Are What You Eat" presented by Dorie Oja, MS, RD, LD, CDE from the Redwood Area Hospital. Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group - February 25, 2008 There will be an Alzheimer's Caregivers Support Group meeting on Monday, February 25, 2008 from 2:00-3:30 in the Education Room. Topic: "Understanding Memory Loss" presented by Liz Doyle, MSW, LICSW - Alzheimer's Assoc. HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid - February 28, 2008 There will be a HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid class on Thursday, February 28, 2008 from 6:30-10:00pm at the Country View Living Community in Walnut Grove, MN. This is a certification class for daycare providers or anyone else needing a pediatric certification. Cost $54.00. Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group - March 11, 2008 There will be an Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Support Group meeting on March 11, 2008 from 2:00-3:30pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room. Topic: "Adaptive Equipment" presented by Annie Albrecht, OTR from the Redwood Area Hospital. Advanced Cardiac Life Support The Redwood Area Hospital will be hosting Advanced Cardiac Life Support Training March 4-6, 2008 for nurses, physicians, and EMT's. ACLS training will teach you to learn the critical assessment-management actions for 10 core cases by conducting the Primary and Secondary ABCD Surveys and implementing the algorithms. Class Brochure. Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group - March 20, 2008 There will be an Alzheimer's Caregivers Support Group meeting on Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 2:00-3:30 in the Education Room. Topic: "Legal Planning Issues" presented by Mark Wandersee, ElderCare Rights. Bridging the Gap - March 29, 2008 There will be a Spring Retreat on March 29, 2008 from 9am-1pm in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room. Bridging the Gap is a free program that gives kids who have experienced the death of someone special, the opportunity to connect with others "who have been there." Living with Grief - Children & Adolescents - April 16, 2008 There will be a Living with Grief videoconference on April 16, 2008 from 12:30-3:00pm in the education room which will focus on Children and Adolescents. Following the videoconference there be a 1/2 hour local panel discussion regarding the conference materials. Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group - April 17, 2008 There will be an Alzheimer's Caregivers Support Group meeting on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 2:00-3:30 in the Education Room. Topic: "Financial Planning" presented by Nancy Hansen, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Jennifer Gilk, Estebo, Schnobrich, Frank and Gilk. Hospice Memorial Service - April 21, 2008 The Redwood Area Hospice will be sponsoring their annual memorial service on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 7:30pm at the United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls. Foundation Fundraiser: Casino Night April 28, 2008 The 4th Annual "Casino Night" will be held on Monday, April 28, 2008 at Jackpot Junction Casino in Morton, MN. Proceeds will be used to TBA. Car Seat Clinic - May 13, 2008 There will be a Car Seat Clinic on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 from 5pm-7pm at the Wabasso School Garage in Wabasso, MN. Bike Rodeo The 8th Annual Bike Rodeo will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 5:30-8pm at the Redwood Area Community Center in Redwood Falls, MN. The event is free and open to parents and children of all ages. Cancer Survivor's Picnic - July 8, 2008 The 15th Annual Cancer Survivor's Picnic will be held on July 8, 2008 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Redwood Area Hospital in the Education Room. ACMC/RAH 5K Run/Walk & Kids Run - July 12, 2008 The race will be on the Redwood Valley High School Cross Country Course, located behind the Redwood Valley High School off Highway 19 in Redwood Falls. RAT Dinner Theatre "The King and I" Foundation Fundraiser - July 24, 2008 The Redwood Area Hospital Foundation in conjunction with the Redwood Area Theatre will be hosting a dinner theatre event for the opening night of "The King and I".
