RE: Taking Control of Your Diabetes Workshop

Redwood Falls, MN. The Redwood Area Hospital would like to invite you to our upcoming workshop “Taking Control of Your Diabetes.” This workshop will be held on Friday, May 4, 2007 from 9am-2:30pm at the St. Catherine’s Church located at 900 East Flynn Street in Redwood Falls.

Topics covered in this diabetes workshop include: “Pills, Pills and More Pills” presented by Dr. Greg McCallum, ACMC/Redwood Area Hospital; “What to Expect at Your Next Medical Visit,” presented by Dain Meyer, Rural Physician Associate Program Participant; “Exercise & Diabetes – As Important as Medication & Food Choices” presented by Randy Kobienia, Exercise Physiologist, Rice Memorial Hospital; and Nutrition: the Cornerstone to Diabetes Therapy,” presented by Dorie Oja, MS, RD, LD, CDE, Redwood Area Hospital. There will also be a short question and answer session following the presentations with Dorie Oja and Cindy Moldan, RN, CDE.

This workshop is sponsored by the Redwood Area Hospital and the Redwood County Diabetes Support Group and is free and open to the public. Advance registration is requested by calling Cindy Moldan or Dorie Oja by May 1, 2007. There is a small charge to cover lunch.
