| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FROM: Shelly Pauling, Education & Communications Manager RE: Hospice Jewelry Fundraiser DATE: April 25, 2007 Redwood Falls, MN. The Redwood Area Hospital Hospice program will be sponsoring a jewelry fundraiser by selling jewelry hand crafted by local artist Sue Penkert from Bird Island. Hospice will be selling necklaces, bracelets and earrings made with freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver accents. Artist Sue Penkert began creating beautiful bead jewelry about four years ago when her three daughters took her to a bead store to look at all the interesting things. She bought some beads and made her first bracelets that day. She enjoyed it so much that she has never stopped. Sue says, “There is nothing I enjoy more than crating a piece of jewelry that will put a smile on someone’s face.” If you wish to purchase a jewelry item, please contact Karen Melges, Foundation Director, at 507-637-4668 or Char Hennen, Hospice Volunteers Assistant at 507-637-4548.
