| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FROM: Shelly Pauling, Education & Communications Manager RE: Childbirth Classes DATE: December 12, 2007 The Obstetrical Department at the Redwood Area Hospital will be offering Childbirth Preparation classes in January 2008. Childbirth preparation is a four-session course that is held from 7-9pm on Monday evenings starting January 7, 2008 and concluding on Monday, January 28, 2008. Classes will be held at the Redwood Area Hospital in the Education Room, please use the entrance on Gould Street. Topics to be covered include nutrition, exercise, labor and delivery, newborn care, postpartum care and car seat safety. A tour of the Obstetrical Department, including the new labor and delivery suites, will also be provided. You can also see a virtual tour of the OB department on our website. The Redwood Area Hospital encourages all expecting parents to attend childbirth preparation classes and parents should make an effort to attend during the second trimester of pregnancy.
