RE: Ken Speake is Coming to Redwood Falls
DATE: July 25, 2007

The Redwood Area Hospital would like to invite you to a free community education session on August 7, 2007 from 7-9pm at the Redwood Area Community Center Room #2. Featured speaker for the evening will be Ken Speake, former storyteller for KARE 11 news.

Ken has been telling stories for KARE 11 news since 1979 (when at that time it was WTCN). In 2003, Ken was infected with West Nile Virus. After many months of battling the side effects, he made the decision to retire from his work at KARE 11.

To this day, Ken still battles with the lasting side effects from the virus. He hopes in sharing his story that he can educate others about what this illness is like – his story – his experience with West Nile Virus.

This free community presentation is sponsored by the Redwood Area Hospital. For more information, contact Shelly Pauling at 507-637-4527. Pre-registration is not necessary.
