| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FROM: Shelly Pauling, Education & Communications Manager RE: Redwood Area Hospital, Redwood Falls, Mary Gross, RN, Receives Nursing Excellence Award DATE: March 19, 2007 Redwood Falls, MN: The Redwood Area Hospital would like to announce the latest recipient of the Nursing Excellence Award which was recently given to Mary Gross, RN. Mary works in the hospital home care department and has been employed at the Redwood Area Hospital for the past twenty-four years. Excellence in Nursing emerges in Mary through her work with the New Born Follow-up Program. Mary has actively participated in this program making visits to new mothers since the programs inception. Mary epitomizes what nursing is when she is visiting with a new mom and baby by supporting, educating, empowering and respecting the family unit. She possess a clinical expertise that is respected by families, physicians and co-workers. Through Mary’s diligence in helping the new mother succeed, she exemplifies the nursing department mission by serving with excellence, responding with compassion, listening with attention, touching with respect and treating with expertise. Mary deserves the many words of thanks that she receives from our patients as well as a thank you from Redwood Area Hospital for her display of Nursing Excellence. |
