Redwood Falls, MN. The Redwood Area Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce that Misty McColley, a senior from Cedar Mountain High School, is the recipient of a $500 college scholarship awarded by the Redwood Area Hospital Foundation.

Misty currently lives in Franklin with her family and will be attending Minnesota State University - Mankato where she will pursue a degree in Nursing, specializing in Pediatrics. Misty is currently working as a Personal Care Attendant. She is graduating with a GPA of 3.95.

Starting in the 2006-2007 school year, the Redwood Area Hospital Foundation added a second scholarship of $500 to be awarded to a graduating senior from either Cedar Mountain, Red Rock Central or Wabasso high schools.

To be considered for the scholarship the student must be pursuing a health care career, have a GPA of 3.0 or better, display leadership in school and the community, and submit an essay explaining why they are pursuing a health care career.

There will be another $500 scholarship which will be awarded to a student from Redwood Valley High School through Dollars for Scholars program. That recipient will be announced at the upcoming “Evening of the Stars” banquet on May 23, 2007 at 7:00pm at the Redwood Area Community Center.
