The Redwood Area Hospital Caring Connections program and Redwood County Volunteers will be co-sponsoring a four-session series of educational classes related to memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The classes will be offered free of charge to families, caregivers, and volunteers.

The first class will be held on Monday, February 25, 2008 from 2-3:30pm at the Redwood Area Hospital. The topic “Understanding Memory Loss” will be presented by Liz Doyle, MSW, LICSW from the Alzheimer’s Association of Minnesota and North Dakota. The other three sessions that will be offered are Legal Planning Issues, Financial Planning Issues and Partnering With Your Doctor.

All classes will be held in the Redwood Area Hospital Education Room (please use the west entrance on Gould Street). In order to provide adequate seating, pre-registration is encouraged but not required. Respite care is also available during the education sessions.
