RE: Adult Grief Support Group Starts in October
DATE: September 19, 2008
The Redwood Area Hospital Hospice announces that an Adult Grief
Support Group will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5-7:00pm
starting on October 7, 2008 and continuing through November 11,
2008. This 6-week series will be held in the Redwood Area
Hospital Caring Connection Room.
The Redwood Area Adult Grief Support Group is a self-help group
for adults grieving the death of a loved one. This group will
offer support, friendship, information and an opportunity to
talk or listen with other people who are grieving. Topics that
will be explored are: Identifying and Expressing Feelings,
Exploring Unfinished Business, Recreating Memories and Managing
Self Care.
Discussion and sharing groups will be led by Joleen Johnson,
Licensed Social Worker, and Amy Boettger, Licensed Social
Worker, from the Redwood Area Hospital Social Services
Department.
All adults from this area who are grieving the death of a loved
one are welcome and encouraged to attend these sessions. For
