RE: Arthritis/Fibromyalgia Special Community Seminar
DATE: September 23, 2008

The Redwood Area Hospital Arthritis/Fibromyalgia group will not be having its usual monthly meeting in October. Instead of hosting a monthly meeting, the support group is encouraging those with Arthritis or Fibromyalgia to attend “Osteoporosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Their Differences” which is being held at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center in Marshall, MN on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 10:00am. This free community education seminar is being presented by Dr. Kara Peterson from Avera Medical Center.

Space is limited and advanced registration is recommended. To register or for more information, call the Arthritis Foundation North Central Chapter at 1-800-333-1380. All attendees will be provided with a certificate of attendance. This seminar is part of the Prescription for Health and Wellness Series and is sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation.

The next monthly Arthritis/Fibromyalgia support group meeting will be held on November 11, 2008 from 2:00-3:30pm at the Redwood Area Hospital and will focus on exercises for the arthritic hand. The purpose of this group is to provide information about arthritis and fibromyalgia as well as fellowship and friendship. All information provided will be in accordance with the Arthritis Foundation Guidelines.

Leaders of the group are Maydra Maas, RN, CNS and Jo Kratzke, Group Leader/Facilitator.
